Hi!
My name is Tracy Salkowitz and I've been a community organizer
for about 25 years. Most of that time has been spent working
in the Jewish community as regional director of the American
Jewish Congress.
Through my work, which has been focused on
protecting civil and religious liberties, I found that the
best defense was a good offense. Consequently, I started coming
up with articles, stories, decorations, and craft ideas to
celebrate Judaism. I realized the effort was working when
my daughter's friends started announcing that they too wanted
to be Jewish.
During
my preparations for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah, I came across
a tallis with the four matriarchs' names embroidered on each
corner. I looked at my daughter and said, "Gee, if we
had an embroidery sewing machine we could sew your grandparents'
names on the corners of your tallis." She looked at me
and said, "Mom, I want the names of all of our family
on the tallis!" After the umpteenth person asked me if
I was going to make tallises to sell, I realized it was time
to launch a business doing personalized Judaica. And then
the ideas just started pouring in challah covers, tallis
cases, chupahs, ceremonial towels, havdalah cloths, and on
and on!
So now, it is one-stop shopping for all of your gift needs.
We'll make it, wrap it, and ship it! All you have to do is
